Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Women’s Shelter of South Texas!  We appreciate your desire to end violence and help make South Texas a healthy, thriving community. Our volunteers play an integral role in the success of our agency. Everyone is gifted with talents and skills. Whether it’s the ability to organize our donation room, prepare a delicious meal for our clients, or bring characters to life as you read stories to the children in our shelter, we will make sure to match your strengths with our agency needs.

Depending on the type of work, some volunteers may need to attend training required by some of our funding sources. Please contact our Resource Coordinator at 361-884-2900 for more details and information on the training schedule.

Below is a list of basic volunteer opportunities available with our agency.  But we welcome your ideas – feel free to call our Resource Coordinator if you’re interested in providing another service or project!
